The SRE40 intelligent station accepts telegrams from facility transmitters at the frequency f1 and in a defined moment of time transfers them to the CSS at frequency f2 (duplex operation).
Information from facility transmitters is gathered into packets that are sent to the CSS regularly in time windows controlled using GPS.
The radio channel determined for relay can be shared by several relay stations that can be arranged following each other or used for several networks.
A relay station measures the signal strength from individual facility transmitters and supplements it for transmitted telegrams, so that at the CSS it is very easy to determine if the strength is sufficient for good quality reception.
Coverage of even very far-reaching territories can be ensure by lining up to 6 relay stations.
In addition to this variant, in more complex networks a solution with 2 or 3 receivers can be used. This set up is useful in particular for serial connection of relay stations, where it is necessary to process signals from facility transmitters and simultaneously a signal from the transmitter from a different relay (two different frequencies are being processed) in one place.
